The 2004 Physics Days was arranged in University
of Oulu, Linnanmaa campus area, on 18.-20.3.2004. The theme
of the meeting was "Physics -
a key to development".

About the
payments Presentation info
If you want to use
computer with your talk, please send your material to fp2004@oulu.fi
(not in use anymore)
before the meeting (recommended) or - at the latest - give it to the organizers
when registering in Oulu (using USB-memory, CD-ROM or
diskette). Note:
Name the file as x_y_surname.zzz, where x = session number, y =
running presentation number within the session, and zzz = file type
code. You will not be allowed to use your own
computer in the lecture halls! Both MS Office XP and OpenOffice
will be available (as well as Acrobat Reader).
The size of the poster board will be 1.0 m
(width) × 1.2 m (height), to be used with pins.

The meeting will be held within the Linnanmaa
campus
area, about five kilometres from downtown. Busses (note: several
different lines)
from
downtown
/
to
downtown (timetables
in pdf).
NOTE: Bus fare is
2.40 euros. Please have the exact sum available when boarding the
bus.
When using your own car, note the various parking lots
around the campus.
Accommodation
Participants should make their own hotel reservations:

and Cumulus are located along a bus route, and Lasaretti is from a
short walking distance of a bus stop. Also
other
hotels
can be used.

With the participant's own laptops it is possible to use
Linnanmaa's
wireless
LAN network. You can get 24 h vouchers from the registration
disk. Internet-ready computers are also available; ask for the
account and password from the registration disk.
Entertainment
Welcoming party at the City hall on Thursday, and conference
