My research interests have included application of computational biophysics on molecular level properties of various lipid systems, including recently the lipid-protein ones related to lipoproteins. Presently the spotlight is shifting towards the effects of lipid modulation on excitable cell membranes. Thus, the aim is to complement the mechanistic understanding of neuronal signaling. Methodologically the focus has been in the molecular dynamics simulations at atomistic level, although recently I have also participated to projects that utilize methods at multiple levels from quantum chemistry to coarse grained simulations.
